Book Review: Where Has Oprah Taken Us?

Stephen Mansfield's begins with a short biography of Oprah's life.  He describes her childhood, teenage years, and rise to fame. He explores her adolescence, where the major changes in her religous beliefs occurred.

Mansfield then changes topic to the religious history and beliefs of America over the last 60 years.  He describes and explains the changes in the baby boomer generation, the introduction of Satanism, and the changes in Eastern religions.

Oprah's spiritual mentors and teachers are the main topic of the next chapter.  Oprah still is not outlined in her beliefs.  Oprah AND her mentors are further explored, ie.  Oprah, Eckart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, Gary Zukav, and Marianne Williamson.

With the last section of the book, Stephen Mansfield outlines and decides on Oprah's main spiritual beliefs, quoting and taking from her statements.  A unreasonable, generally unbiased conclusion is drawn.

Overall, I think this book was well written, and  not biased, so a good, informative biography/review on her life and beliefs.  I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good biography.
